Gluten Free Rice Noodle Stir Fry

Inspired by my friend’s Asian-inspired food blog, I decided to make a gluten-free stir fry with leftover BBQ Chicken and other ingredients I had on hand. These are some of my favorite gluten-free noodles; shaped in oval-shaped and very similar in texture and taste to Chinese ho-fun noodles.
3 cups chicken or vegetable stock
1 package [...]

Gluten Free Cinnamon Rolls

Oh Miglet’s, we love you.  I don’t even have photos of the gluten-free cupcakes because we ate them right away!  (Like literally, before we even left the Bakery.
Shown here, decadent Gluten-Free Cinnamon rolls and a Fruit Tart.

Miglet’s Gluten-Free Grand Opening

Congratulations Katie Taylor and team on the Grand Opening of Miglet’s Gluten-Free Cupcake Shop!  We attended the Grand Opening festivities last weekend and enjoyed delicious gluten-free cupcakes, cookies, face painting, coloring and balloons!  A wonderful time was had by all and I am thrilled to have a dedicated gluten-free bakery in the Danville/Walnut Creek area!  [...]

Gluten Free Cupcakes Danville

I am counting down the days until Miglet’s Grand Opening on June 26th!
Owner Katie Taylor has been creating and delivering decadent Gluten-Free treats to homes and retailers all over the Bay Area (and most importantly, right to my front door).  And now she and her fabulous crew are opening up a store/cupcake shop in Danville.
I [...]

Gluten-Free Brunch

Extremely Gluten-Free Pizza

Pizza night just got a billion times better for us gluten-free folks, now that Extreme Pizza offers (and delivers!) gluten-free pizzas.  The crust is rice-based, made by stillridingpizza.  When the pizza is delivered piping hot, the crust is extremely crispy, much akin to an italian thin-crust pizza.
My favorite toppings are pineapple, green onion and bacon, [...]

Gluten-Free, Corn-Free French Baguette

Crispy on the outside, moist on the inside, Farmer’s Kitchen Cafe’s Gluten-Free French Baguette is such a treat.
I love spreading butter or margarine and toasting lightly in the oven or on the stovetop.
And of course, bacon tastes good with everything…

Cake that tastes like cake

I still find myself longingly browsing the Whole Foods bakery tables for fresh (not frozen) Gluten-Free desserts.  There are usually often vegan desserts on the tables, but not any Gluten-Free offerings (must go to the frozen section for that, or of course order from my favorite local gluten-free bakery).
But today, to my great surprise I [...]

Food, Inc: A Movie that Changes the Way We Eat

This flick exploits the mass manufacturing of food leaving you with a loss of appetite.  I’ve been particularly conscious about avoiding corn, and found manufacturers have invented ways to use it in just about everything, so it was no surprise that someone finally shared this with the rest of the world. With the help of [...]

Amy’s Organics

Our family has been a fan of Amy’s Organics foods for many years because of my husband’s lactose intolerance and my recent gluten-free diet.
Some family favorites include the Gluten-Free Rice Crust Dairy Free pizza.  To be able to accommodate all of our food restrictions in one meal and keep a 2-year happy is an impressive [...]
